Frequently Asked Questions

How much will it cost me to make a claim?

You will not have to pay us for reviewing your case.

If we believe that your claim has a reasonable prospect of success, we will then discuss legal costs with you. As solicitors, that is our duty.

Your own legal costs will usually be covered under the terms of a No Win/No Fee Agreement or a legal expenses insurance policy.

We would expect to recover your legal costs from the other side if your claim is successful. In fact, we will limit our costs to whatever we can recover from the other side.

If your claim is not successful then we do not get paid. That is quite an incentive for us to win your case!

Will you take any of my settlement if my claim is successful?

No.

What will you need from me?

In order to review your case we will need to see all of the policy documents, together with any correspondence with the insurance company.

We may also need to see medical records. If so, we will ask you to sign a medical consent form which will allow us to request copies of the records from the relevant doctor or hospital.

How long will my claim take?

This depends upon a variety of factors, including: how long it takes to obtain a medical report; whether the insurance company wish to obtain their own medical report; and, whether you still require medical treatment before a longer term prognosis can be given.

Our overriding concern is that the claim should be progressed properly, not just quickly.
